How to change the nameservers of a domain?

We offer domain names with free WHOIS Privacy (ID Protection). Please follow this walkthrough to change the nameservers of a domain registered with us:

  • Log in to Client Area.

  • Go to Domains > My Domains from the Client Area menu.

  • Click the "down arrow" (next to the wrench icon) located to the right of the domain.

  • Click "Manage Nameservers" from the dropdown menu.

  • Select "Use custom nameservers".

  • Type in new nameservers and click "Change Nameservers".

  • Done!

Note:
The nameservers for your hosting account were sent to you in the hosting account information email. You can also find them here:

DNS Propagation:
When you change the nameservers, ISPs (internet service providers) worldwide must update their DNS cache to reflect the change in their areas.

In some areas, this process can take from a couple to up to 72 hours, depending on the policies of the ISPs in those areas.

When someone (including you) visits your website, but the DNS propagation is not complete at their ISP or at their end (DNS can also be cached on their browser/computer), they will see the site on your previous hosting, and some emails might arrive at your previous hosting account.

During this time, your websites and emails will be online. If you cannot access them due to DNS propagation, please refer to the following article to access them:

Verify Nameserver Change:
