What is Pro Rata Billing? Why is the due amount in my first invoice is different than my renewal price?

This is because you are paying a partial price in your first invoice. This is how we calculate billing:

1.

We bill products on the 1st day of the month.

If you order a product on the 10th of March, you will only be charged for 10 to 31 March (instead of 10 March to 9 April) in your first invoice.

Any renewal invoice will be generated for your full billing cycle (eg. 01 April to 30 April).

2.

Any order placed on or after the 23rd day of the month includes the price for the next billing cycle.

If you order a product on the 23rd of March, and choose the monthly billing cycle, you will need to pay for 23 to 31 March + 01 April to 30 April in your first invoice.

Any renewal invoice will be generated for the full month (01 May to 31 May).

If you choose the annual billing cycle and order a product on the 23rd of March 2020, you will need to pay for 23 March 2020 to 28 February 2021 at the initial time of order

Any renewal invoice will be generated for the full year (01 March 2021 to 31 March 2022).

What is Pro Rata Billing?
================================================

We bill products on the same day each month and charge a prorata'd amount at the initial time of order. This is called Pro Rata Billing. This is why the due amount in your first invoice is different than the renewal price.

You are not actually paying anything less or more. When you are paying less, the period you are paying for is less than your billing cycle. When you are paying more, the period you are paying for is larger than your billing cycle.
