How to automatically update WordPress using Softaculous?

You can automatically update WordPress using Softaculous. By default, Softaculous updates WP core files to the latest minor version. You can enable automatic updates for major versions, plugins, and themes.

 

Note:

Plugin/theme updates and major version updates can break live sites.

 

To enable or disable automatic updates:

  • Go to cPanel > WordPress Manager by Softaculous.

  • Expand your WordPress installation.

  • Select the following values.


    1. Auto Upgrade WordPress Core:

      Do not Auto Upgrade.

      Upgrade to Minor versions only.

      Upgrade to latest version available (Major as well as Minor).


    2. Auto Upgrade WordPress Themes: Enable / Disable


    3. Auto Upgrade WordPress Themes: Enable / Disable
