How to backup and restore WordPress using Softaculous WordPress Manager?

We provide multiple ways to backup and restore your WordPress website. Please follow this guide to create and restore backups.

In addition, we also take daily backups automatically and store them on a remote server.

Backup Location and Limit

  • Backups are stored in the [softaculous_backups] directory by default.

  • You can download them using FTP and/or File Manager.

  • Click on Backup.

  • Click on Backup Installation.

Note:

If your remote backup is stuck at "Undefined (95%)":

  • Check if the remote server configuration and backup directory (e.g., backup or /backup) are correct.

  • If the configuration is correct, go to Task List (from the top menu) and check if any backup task is running.
