We are discontinuing Memcached+SASL on Shared, Reseller, and Semi Dedicated Hosting in favor of our highly optimized PHP and MySQL stack.

You will not notice any performance degradation due to this change. There is no need to do anything on your part. All websites will run as usual without any issues.

On a server where MySQL performance is average, or software and hardware stack is slow, redis or Memcached makes a notable difference.

MySQL performance is a massive advantage on servers like ours, where MySQL/MariaDB performance is near its peak and runs on top of a highly optimized software stack on some of the fastest hardware in the industry.

We turbocharge application load times by utilizing PHP OPcache. With the combination of OPcache, high performance MySQL stack, and fast hardware, you will get the same performance without Memcached or redis on our servers.

Additionally, you can use LiteSpeed Cache to make page load times even faster.

Memcached+SASL will be discontinued on Shared Hosting from 16 January 2022. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding this change.
