MechanicWeb is pleased to introduce a new feature to remove IP blocks from the server firewall. Anyone trying to access a website, control panel, or webmail from a blocked IP can now unblock themselves automatically. This feature was available on our London and German servers only. We have now enabled it on all Web Hosting, Reseller Hosting (cPanel), and Semi Dedicated Hosting servers.
When an IP is blocked, the server will display a captcha (Google Recaptcha). The user can unlock the IP right away by solving the captcha. Similarly, when someone accesses a website, control panel, or webmail from a blocked IP, a captcha will appear on the same screen to unblock the IP. Previously, when an IP was blocked, customers needed to unblock themselves by logging into the client area or opening a ticket.
The IP cannot be unblocked if it is known to have been engaged in malicious activities or is blocked by third-party block lists. Please contact us if you cannot unblock your IP so that we can investigate why.
MechanicWeb has always remained ahead of the industry standards in offering industry-leading performance and security features. It upgraded its servers in 2022 with RAID-protected data center grade PCIE 4.0 NVMe SSD and Ryzen Zen 3 processors. These are the fastest single-core and multi-core performance processors among all available server processors. PHP runs faster on processors with high single-threaded performance.
