How to create hosting accounts (cPanel accounts) and hosting packages?

You will need to create a package in your WHM before creating a new hosting account. A hosting package simplifies cPanel account management.

Create a Package

If you have a VPS (Managed), Quasi Dedicated, or Dedicated Server (Managed), it may already have at least one hosting package. You can also create a package:

  • Go to WHM > Packages > Add a Package.

  • Set appropriate quotas in the Resources (storage, bandwidth, addon domains, etc.) section.

  • Click "Add".

  • Done! The package is now created.

Note:
You may not select 'unlimited' for storage and bandwidth quota on Reseller Hosting.

Create a cPanel Account

  • Go to WHM > Account Functions > Create a New Account.

  • Type in your domain name in the Domain box (no www or http or spaces - just yourdomain.com).

  • After typing in the domain name, hit TAB on your keyboard, and it will automatically create a username.

  • Enter a password for the account.

  • Choose a Package: Select a hosting package that you created earlier.

  • Click "Create". A confirmation will appear presenting the newly created account details.

  • Done!

Do not click or change anything if you are unsure what it does.
