Softaculous allows easier management of websites. You can install, update, backup, clone, stage, and manage your existing websites using Softaculous.
Note:
Do not simultaneously use multiple tools (e.g., Softaculous and WP Toolkit) to manage your websites. Doing so might cause various issues. You should use only one tool at a time.
Import (Attach)
If you installed WordPress using another tool or manually, you can import it to Softaculous to manage the site from Softaculous:
- Launch WordPress Manager by Softaculous.
cPanel:
cPanel > Software > WordPress Manager by Softaculous.
Or, cPanel > Software > Softaculous Apps Installer > WordPress Manager (WP icon on the top menu).
DirectAdmin:
DirectAdmin > User > Extra Features > Softaculous Auto Installer > WordPress Manager (WP icon on the top menu). - Click "Scan" > "Start scanning for installations".
Wait for the process to finish. - Click "Return to WordPress Management".
- Done!
Note:
Detach the website from WP Toolkit after importing it to Softaculous.
Remove (Detach)
Removing a website from Softaculous does not delete the website. It only removes the entry from Softaculous. After removing it, you can no longer manage it using Softaculous, but the website will not be deleted:
- Launch WordPress Manager by Softaculous.
Expand the website you want to remove. - Click "Remove" > "Remove Installation" > "OK".
Wait for the process to finish. Do not leave the page. - Done!
Uninstall (Delete)
Uninstalling a website deletes the website, including all files/folders and databases of that website:
- Launch WordPress Manager by Softaculous.
Expand the website you want to uninstall. - Click "Uninstall" > "Remove Installation" > "OK".
Wait for the process to finish. Do not leave the page. - Done!
