You can use Softaculous or WordPress Toolkit Deluxe to install and manage WordPress, depending on your hosting control panel:
- WP Toolkit: Available with cPanel
- WordPress Manager by Softaculous: Available with cPanel and DirectAdmin
Using WP Toolkit
Follow these instructions to install WordPress for a seamless installation experience:
- Go to cPanel > Domains > WP Toolkit > Install
- Enter the following values:
Installation path: https
Website title: My WordPress Website - Click Install
- Wait for the "Installation Complete" popup to appear.
The progress on WordPress installation will be displayed on the bottom right of your screen.
Once it reaches 100%, the "WordPress was installed" message will appear on the progress bar, and the "Installation Complete" popup will be displayed. - Click "No, thanks" on the "Installation Complete" interface - do not install plugins at this stage.
- If there are any additional tasks, WordPress Toolkit will perform them now.
You will see the progress on these tasks on the bottom right of your screen. Wait for the additional task to complete. - Done.
Using WordPress Manager by Softaculous
You can install, update, backup, clone, and stage WordPress websites using Softaculous. It also allows you to install and manage plugins, wp-cron, and debug mode:
- Launch WordPress Manager by Softaculous.
On cPanel:
cPanel > Software > WordPress Manager by Softaculous.
Or, cPanel > Software > Softaculous Apps Installer > WordPress Manager (WP icon on the top menu).
On DirectAdmin:
DirectAdmin > User > Extra Features > Softaculous Auto Installer > WordPress Manager (WP icon on the top menu). - Click Install.
- Enter the following values:
Choose Installation URL
Choose Protocol: select https://www. or https://
Choose Domain: select a domain or subdomain
Admin Email: type in your email address - Click Install from the bottom of the interface.
- Wait for the "Congratulations, the software was installed successfully" message to appear.
The progress on WordPress installation will be displayed on your screen.
It will first check submitted data: "Checking submitted data". Then install WordPress.
Please wait for the "Finishing Installation" progress to reach 100%. - Click the WP icon on the top menu to go back to WordPress Manager.
- You can now install plugins, themes, manage updates and backups, and many other aspects.
Click on the down arrow on the right of a WordPress website to manage it. - Done.
