How to fix errors after installing LiteSpeed Cache?

Your website may encounter errors after enabling LiteSpeed Cache if there is a conflict with other plugins or if CDN features (e.g., Cloudflare APO) overlap with LiteSpeed Cache's features. Read this article to fix them.

Check LiteSpeed Cache Status

Check whether LiteSpeed Cache is caching your site as mentioned in the guide below:

How to install LiteSpeed Cache?

Proceed to the next step if any issues arise.

Step 1: Disable Cloudflare APO

If you are using Cloudflare, and APO is enabled, disable it in Cloudflare. You do not need to disable Cloudflare; only APO needs to be disabled.

Cloudflare APO (Automatic Platform Optimization) includes duplicate caching and optimization features that interfere with LiteSpeed Cache's optimization process.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Tweak WordPress Plugins

Some popular WordPress plugins require additional configuration to function properly when LiteSpeed Cache is enabled. Refer to the following guide to configure them:

Step 3: Incorrect PHP Handler or Session Path

If LiteSpeed Cache is not functioning properly after completing all the steps above, you might have invalid PHP paths in your .htaccess or .user.ini files:

Step 4: Check Plugin Conflict

Some plugins (e.g., other caching and optimization plugins) can conflict with LiteSpeed Cache due to duplicate caching and/or optimization features. Disable these plugins:

Step 5: Temporarily Disable CDN

If the issue persists after trying all the steps above, temporarily disable CDN to avoid issues caused by any conflict between LiteSpeed Cache and the optimization features of the CDN.

If you are using Cloudflare, disable Proxy. Doing so will disable CDN cache.

Step 6: Broken Functionality Due to CSS or JavaScript

If the website layout or functionality is broken due to CSS or JavaScript optimizations, refer to the following article:
