How to check plugin conflict with LiteSpeed Cache?

Some plugins (e.g., other caching and optimization plugins) include features similar to LiteSpeed Cache. These features conflict with LiteSpeed Cache, causing various issues on the website. If you are not an advanced user, disable or uninstall these conflicting plugins.

You shouldn't use more than one caching or optimization plugin at a time.

Error

Your website might exhibit one of the following symptoms after enabling LiteSpeed Cache if there is a plugin conflict:

  1. The website appears broken, or CSS styles are not applied properly.

  2. Some website functions might not work as intended.

  3. The website may display the following error:

    "503
    Service Unavailable.
The server is temporarily busy, try again later!"

Note:

The above symptoms are not always an indication of a plugin conflict with LiteSpeed Cache. It is important to ensure whether the issue is related to a plugin conflict before applying a solution.

Step 1: Check If It Is a Plugin Conflict

Check if the issue is related to conflicting plugins by disabling LiteSpeed Cache:

  1. Go to cPanel > LiteSpeed Web Cache Manager > WordPress Cache.

  2. Click "Scan". Wait for your domain to appear in the list.

  3. Click "Disable" next to your domain name.

  4. Done!

  5. Check your website.

If the issue persists, it is not related to a plugin conflict.

If disabling LiteSpeed Cache resolves the issue, it indicates a plugin conflict. Proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Known Conflicting Plugins

  1. Check if you have any of the plugins listed in the following web pages:

    https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/thirdparty/#incompatible
    https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/thirdparty/#probably-compatible
    https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/thirdparty/#confirmed-compatible

  2. If you have any of the above plugins, note the workaround mentioned in the "Action Required" column next to the plugin.

  3. Apply the workaround.

If a workaround is not available for a plugin, disable it.

  4. Check your website.

  5. Repeat the process to check all installed plugins on your website.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Manually Identify Conflicting Plugins

To identify the conflicting plugin:

  1. Re-enable LiteSpeed Cache.

  2. Disable other plugins one by one.

Check the website at least 3 times after disabling each plugin.

  3. If the issue resolves after disabling a plugin, the plugin is causing the conflict.

  4. Keep the conflicting plugin disabled.
