How to install Joomla using Softaculous?

To install Joomla using Softaculous one click script installer,  please follow these steps:

1. Log into your cPanel account

2. Click on Softaculous under the Software/Services section

3. Find the Joomla script and click on the Install button

4. You will only need to indicate the following information in the next window:

  1. Choose the version you want to install - it is recommended to use the latest version available
  2. Choose Protocol - if your site has SSL, then please choose "https://www.", otherwise, please choose "http://www."
  3. Choose Domain – indicate the domain name you wish to install Joomla for.
  4. In Directoryleave it empty to install Joomla on www.yourdomain.com. By default, Softaculous will put a directory name there, if you keep that, Joomla will be installed on www.yourdomain.com/joomla
  5. Admin Username – the username that will be used to access Joomla Administration Panel.
  6. Admin Password – the password that will be used to access Joomla Administration Panel.
  7. Admin Email - the email address to which the CRON activities and other admin related emails will be sent to.

5. After you have finished filling in, click on the Install button to proceed with the installation. Joomla will be installed.

To access Joomla Administration Panel, simply click on the Administrative link. Use the login details that you have chosen during the installation process:
