How to host an additional website?

Depending on the limits of your hosting plan, you can host up to an unlimited number of domains and websites on your hosting account.

cPanel is intuitive. If you have a look around the cPanel dashboard, you should be able to find your way around most tasks.

Step 01: Add an additional domain

To host an additional website, you need to add the domain:

  • Go to cPanel > Domains > Create a New Domain.

  • Enter the following details:

    Domain: yourdomain.com

Replace [yourdomain.com] with your domain name. Do not include the preceding [www].

  • Uncheck [ ] Share document root.

  • Click Submit.

  • Done.

Step 02: Change the nameservers of your domain

Now, change the nameservers of your domain so it resolves to our servers.

Step 03: Install SSL

The next part is to install SSL. Before installing SSL, you need to change your domain's nameservers to those sent in your hosting account information email. Once the nameservers are updated:

  1. Go to cPanel > SSL / TLS Status > Run AutoSSL.

  2. Wait for the SSL installation process to complete.

  3. You can also install SSL from cPanel > Let's Encrypt > Issue.

Step 04: Upload or install your website

When you add a domain, cPanel will create a directory using the domain name in your home directory. In this case, the directory name is [yourdomain.com].

You can access the directory using FTP or cPanel > File Manager. You will need to upload your website files under this directory.

Note that for the primary domain [yourprimarydomain.com], the directory is [public_html].

You can install WordPress and other applications from cPanel > WordPress Manager by Softaculous. Please refer to the WordPress section of this knowledgebase for detailed instructions on how to install WordPress.
