cPanel provides a wizard for generating a full backup, which includes all websites, files, databases, emails, and FTP accounts.
Note:
- Make sure you have enough free disk space in your account.
Usually, creating backups requires up to 200% of the used space. This space is needed for temporary files during backup generation and for storing the backup file.
If you have 10 GB of space, and 2 GB has been used, you have 8 GB free. That's more than enough (more than 200% of your used space) to generate and store the backup. - Do not generate more than one backup at a time, as it might delay the process or cause it to be aborted.
- The backup will be stored in the home directory. You can access, download, or delete it using FTP or cPanel > File Manager.
- After the backup is generated, download it on your end and delete the backup from your hosting account to free up disk space.
