DirectAdmin allows you to set default nameservers for new users. These new default nameservers will only be assigned to new user accounts created after the change.
Applies to:
Managed VPS and Managed Dedicated Server with DirectAdmin control panel.
Set Default Nameservers
- Go to DirectAdmin > Admin > Server Manager > Nameservers > Create Nameservers.
- Select your domain in the "Domain" field.
*If you want to usens1andns2.yourdomain.comas nameservers, selectyourdomain.com.
*Replaceyourdomain.comwith your actual domain name. - Enter the desired nameservers in the following fields:
Name Server 1:ns1
Name Server 2:ns2
*Make sure you have the correct A records already configured. - Click "Create Nameservers".
- Now, enter the new default nameservers in the "Set the Name servers that will be assigned to new users" section:
Name Server 1:ns1.yourdomain.com
Name Server 2:ns2.yourdomain.com
*Replaceyourdomain.comwith your actual domain name. - Click "Save".
- Done!
