How to setup QUIC.cloud CDN and pair WordPress manually?

The guide below applies to domains hosted on Mechanicweb servers only.

 

Before Enabling CDN

 

Step 1: Configure WordPress


Pair WordPress with QUIC.cloud

  • Go to WP Admin > LiteSpeed Cache > General.

  • Click "Request Domain Key".

    Wait a couple of minutes and refresh the page.
    A notification will appear at the top: "Applied for Domain Key successfully."

  • Click "Link to QUIC.cloud" next to Domain Key.

    You will be redirected to QUIC.cloud.

  • Log in to your QUIC.cloud account or register a new account and log in.

    You will be redirected back to the WordPress dashboard.

  • Done!

 

Enable CDN in LiteSpeed Cache

  • Go to WP Admin > LiteSpeed Cache > CDN > CDN Settings.

  • Set QUIC.cloud CDN to ON.

  • Click Save Changes.

  • Done!

 

Step 2: Enable CDN on QUIC.cloud


  • Log in to my.quic.cloud.

  • Go to > My Domains > yourdomain.com > CDN.

  • Click Enable CDN.

  • Select [*] I want to use QUIC.cloud DNS.

  • Click Confirm Choice.

    Wait a few minutes for QUIC.cloud to discover the DNS records.
    Click Enable and Add Records if the DNS records are correct.

  • Go to DNS Zones > yourdomain.com.

    Take note of the nameservers assigned to your domain. For example:

    xxx.quicns.net
    xxx.quicns.org

  • Done!

 

Step 3: Change Nameservers


  • Login to the domain control panel at your domain registrar.

  • Change the nameservers with the nameservers presented above.

  • Wait a few minutes for QUIC.cloud to detect the change.

 

Step 4: Configure CDN


  • Log into my.quic.cloud.

  • Go to My Domains > yourdomain.com > CDN > CDN Config (left sidebar).

  • Tweak the following configuration options:

    Set "Map Both www/non-www" to ON
    Set "Auto Redirect www/non-www" to ON
    Set "Enable QUIC Backend" to ON

    Jetpack:
    If you use Jetpack, set "Allow Jetpack" to ON.

    Do not change any other settings if you do not need them/are unsure what they do.

  • Done!

 

QUIC.cloud CDN configuration is now complete.

 

Step 5: Verify CDN Setup


  • Log into my.quic.cloud.

  • Go to My Domains > yourdomain.com > CDN > Status.

    Under CDN Overview, the following items indicate CDN setup is complete:

    CDN in Use
    DNS Verified
    SSL Certificate is Valid

    will auto renew in xx days

  • If you see "SSL Certificate is Missing", "will generate in x minute", wait a few minutes and refresh the page.

  • Done!

 

You can check if QUIC.cloud CDN is serving your website. Make sure to check at least twice:

  • Go to https://check.lscache.io/

  • Enter your website URL and click CHECK.

  • If your website is being served from the CDN, you should see a green message:

    QUIC.cloud CDN cache is a hit

  • Done!

Cloudflare CDN Integration (Optional)


Cloudflare has more nodes than QUIC.cloud but does not serve dynamic content by default. You can use Cloudflare to serve static content while leaving the dynamic requests for QUIC.cloud.

Note:

Using two CDNs at the same time is not recommended unless you have a technical reason. It will increase complexity. If you are not well versed in technological aspects, your site might break.
