How to attach or remove WordPress in WP Toolkit?

You can install and manage various aspects of your WordPress website using WP Toolkit. WP Toolkit comes with cPanel hosting control panel.

Note:

Do not use both Softaculous and WP Toolkit to manage the same site.

Attach

If you did not install WordPress using WP Toolkit, you need to attach the site to manage it using WP Toolkit:

Detach

Detaching a website only removes the entry from WP Toolkit. The website itself is not deleted:

  • Go to cPanel > WP Toolkit.

  • Select the website.

  • Click "Detach" > "Detach".

Wait for the process to finish.

  • Done!

Note:

WP Toolkit creates a file named .wp-toolkit-ignore in the website root directory after detaching it. Delete the file to attach the website to WP Toolkit again.

Remove (Delete)

Removing a website from WP Toolkit deletes the website, including all files/folders and databases of that website:

  • Go to cPanel > WP Toolkit.

  • Select the website.

  • Click "Remove" > "Remove".

Wait for the process to finish.

  • Done!
